Hey all! Happy June! To start . . . yes, we are fine after the earthquake. It was quite spooky; I'm not going to lie. Living on the third floor and sleeping on the top bunk… I sure felt it hahahha. There was an earthquake a while ago, so we were all thinking “ahh sick another one, it'll stop soon” but it didn’t - It just kept going and getting even stronger. They evacuated a couple of the zones in the cities that were closer to the epicenter. It was quite spooky. Luckily no one from the mission was hurt or really affected. Still man. Everyone is saying that there should be more in the coming days, so we'll be looking out for them. We, as a mission, are in the process of updating all of the emergency backpacks this week. Elder Neves had parents calling him all day asking about their missionaries.
This week was nuts. Tuesday was transfer day and on top of that President decided that we would do a zone conference on Friday and that…. It would be their last one ever. So we were runnin all over the place getting lunch and cake and drinks and cleaning churches. Really stressful week. I'm glad that it is over. The new group of missionaries that we got is quite awesome! All latinos this time with a Sister who went home for medical issues a while back. This time, sending people home was awful! Sending people who I met at the beginning of my mission and old companions is really, really, really, hard. What can you do though…

Last Saturday we had a baptism! A 16 year old joven by the name of Braulio. His grandparents support him a lot, but are super-duper Catholic. But they listen to us, and have gone to church a couple of times.

Today has been super stressful already. Being the first of the month, everyone takes money out. And today there's been lots of problems. Us being in the offices usually take money out a day before to avoid problems and just overall make things easier. Butttttttttttt we were slammed yesterday with transfer stuff still and cleaning up the conference. So things have been busy this morning.
In our interviews this week, President told us that the area approved smartphones for us. We'll see if we get them before October.
Sorry I don’t have much to say this week. I'm just slammed. This week was really, really busy.
Elder Roper!
