Hayden's flight was scheduled to leave at 8:30 a.m. We needed to be there 3 hours before, so we were up pretty darn early this morning! I had to get one last selfie with this kid!
Isn't he the cutest missionary?!?
It makes me cry getting all of his things loaded in to the car . . .
But he is more than ready to get off on his mission!
We got him checked in at home before we got there,
that saved us a lot of time!
It's always so hard for those final good-byes!
I'm going to miss the kid so much!
Bittersweet for sure!
We said our goodbyes and he was off! Once he entered that security line, he didn't look back.
I wanted him give me one more wave, but he didn't. We sat and watched him until we couldn't see him any more.
We left the airport.
The ride home was pretty quiet!
We found his flight online and watched it all day long.
The countdown is on -
only 730 more days!
I know he is going learn and grow by leaps and bounds in those 730 days! I am just going to miss him while he does it!
I came across this quote today and felt it was so very timely!
I know Hayden is in good hands!
So are we!
We watched Hayden's flight all night long. It was fun to watch him fly over South America and then finally land!
We are all so excited for him and can't wait to hear all about his adventures!
